“His contagious smile will be missed by many!”

James passed away at 91, on February 4th, from lung cancer.

He fought through years of physical events until he “ran out of gas”.

Jim grew up on a dairy farm in Idaho with eight aunts and uncles and one sibling. He went to Seattle College, then enlisted in the Coast Guard in World War II. Afterwards he worked in the North West in retail. At Fred Meyers, he met and married his first wife, Dorothy, raising her daughter, Sylvia.

Moving to Southern California, he joined State Farm, working for 28 years.

At church in Pasadena, he met and married Susan. Together, they moved to Sedona, to fulfill his dream of golfing any day of the week. Eventually, they settled in Sun City. His passions were, fly fishing, working out, reading, dancing and travelling. His services were small gatherings in Sun City, and California.

He is survived by wife, Susan, a son, 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
