If it hadn’t been for the world wars of the previous century, it’s likely the city of Goodyear would not exist today, according to a release. Now celebrating its 75th anniversary, Goodyear has transformed from a rural town to one of the most populous cities in Arizona.

Mr. Pelletier became active with the Three Rivers Historical Society after moving to Goodyear in 2006 with his wife, Sue. Born the same year as the city, he developed an interest in the history of his new home, becoming acquainted with the people and places connected with the city’s early years and befriending those shaping its future.
