Buckeye residents can now call to schedule an appointment to drop off any residential household hazardous materials.
This service is for Buckeye residents only, and participants must have an active solid waste account. The drop-off location is at the city’s Public Works facility, 23454 W. MC 85 (MC 85 and Watson Road).
For everyone’s health and safety, please follow these steps to drop off any items:
To schedule an appointment, call 623-349-6802 between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday-Thursday
Appointments are scheduled in 15-minute blocks to reduce customer interaction and allow staff time to separate and store the items
Complete the drop-off form and chemical inventory checklist in its entirety and bring it to an appointment
Residents required to unload own vehicles and place items on the cart provided
Attach the completed drop-off form to the clipboard provided
All items must be in a sealed and leak-proof container
Residents required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing if speaking to city staff on site
Notify staff of any unknown chemicals so staff can take additional precautions

As a reminder, only well-sealed containers of the following items are accepted: pesticides; herbicides; fertilizers; pool chemicals; paints; cleaners; automotive fluids (preferably in original container); lithium, lead, and nickel cadmium batteries; fluorescent light bulbs; items with integrated (non-removable) batteries (including computers, tablets, and cell phones).
