Buckeye offering new virtual classes to stay ‘Active at Home’
Karate, astronomy sessions available
Posted
Buckeye’s Community Services Department is offering two new special interest classes virtually.
Classes for Goju Rya Karate begin Wednesday, July 1, and “Observing the Night Sky” begins in August. These classes are part of the Active at Home program, but since they are lived-streamed with an instructor have a minimal registration fee.
Goju Ryu Karate is traditional karate emphasizing fitness, courtesy and self-discipline to help keep minds and hearts healthy and strong.
“Observing the Night Sky” helps residents learn about different types of telescopes, setting up and using one properly, cool accessories, basic astrophotography, reference books, apps, etc.
