Buckeye district responds to being sued for over pay

The Buckeye Elementary School District is facing a lawsuit from Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich against the superintendent for making a what it called a suspicious amount of revenue.

Brnovich filed the lawsuit Wednesday along with an audit report that found Superintendent Kristi Wilson made more than $1.7 million of additional retirement credits and unused leave and then failed to note it in public employment records dating from July 2016 to December 2021.
