Buckeye awards 4 business grants in Catalyst Program

Four Buckeye businesses will be upable to expand or rehabilite their property courtesty of grants through the city's award-winning Catalyst Program.
Through the program, the Buckeye City Council approved grants totally up to $50,000 for each of the businesses.
Part of the requirement for the program is that business owners must also financially contribute to the projects and document the progress.
The four projects are:
American Legion Post 53: Add another exit door and two shade awnings
B Bar G: Grade and level existing parking lot
Odyssey School on Apache: New in-ground entrance lighting
Odyssey School on Verrado: New in-ground entrance lighting
During the past seven years, the city has helped 32 businesses and provided about $625,000 in funding that resulted in $1.5 million invested into the city. This resulted in a 1:3 return on investment.
Buckeye Economic Development Director David Roderique said in a press release that the monies budgeted for the program each year gives qualifying Buckeye businesses the leverage and support they need to improve their place of business. As a result, they provide additional sales tax revenues and job growth for the city.
