Families participating in Agua Fria Union High School District’s annual Summer Food Service Program this year will have two options for receiving the free meals, district officials announced.

Under the program, which will run from Monday, May 24, through Thursday, June 24, families can have breakfasts and lunches delivered to their homes  Mondays through Thursdays via the district’s Blue Bird Eats delivery service, or they can pick up five days of meals at Agua Fria High School, 530 E. Riley Drive, Avondale, and Desert Edge is at 15778 W. Yuma Road, Goodyear.

AFUHSD serves students in Avondale, Buckeye, Goodyear, Litchfield Park, Waddell and parts of Glendale.

The program is open to all children ages 18 and younger.

To sign up, families should email their student’s name, school, home delivery address, how many children ages 18 and younger live in the household to foodservices@aguafria.org along with a home phone number and home email address.

A parent or student must be home to receive meal deliveries, district officials said, noting that meals will not be left outside.

For more information, call the AFUHSD Food Service Department at 623-932-7009.
