William (Bill) Dale Crothers

Posted

William was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 30, 1953 to William and Kathryn Crothers. He was the first child of four; with siblings Daryl, Wendy (Jensen), and Alan. They moved around the Midwest through his early years before eventually settling in Wheaton, Illinois.
He started working for Vern Keebler Electronics while in high school, and after he graduated, he attended Judson College (Psychology) and College of DuPage (Accounting & Electronics). Bill then worked full time for Keebler, working up the ranks over 20 years to eventually become a senior manager.
Bill was a loving father to two beautiful children from his first marriage to Karen, Leslie (Singh) & William (Bill) Junior. He encouraged them in all their activities, serving in Boy Scout leadership and coaching their youth sports.
He later met Gerri, and the two of them moved to Sun City, Arizona in 2000, to help out with Gerri’s father who was falling ill. Bill and Gerri were married on June 22, 2001, and Bill was a great stepfather to Gerri’s four children, Kim (Fleming), Pat, Jim, and John.
Bill applied for a Manager’s job at a newly built Walmart in Surprise, Arizona, where he was hired and worked until he retired in 2018.
Bill was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church of Sun City. He really loved his Faith family.
Bill was a quiet man but he was kind, caring and loving. If you knew Bill you liked him.
Bill leaves behind his wife Gerri; daughter Leslie Singh (John), son William Crothers Jr. (Mindy); grandchildren Judah & Levi Singh, William (Willy) Crothers III, Leota & Jack Fleming, and Enzo Scullion.
