The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists who travel on State Route 24 Gateway Freeway to plan for a ramp closure as work continues on the project to extend SR24 approximately 5 miles from Ellsworth Road to Ironwood Drive.
The westbound SR24 on-ramp at Ellsworth Road will be closed from 8 p.m. Monday, July 11, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, July 12.
For a detour, drivers can travel north on Ellsworth Road and access Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway via westbound Elliot Road or by using westbound Ray Road to northbound Hawes Road.
ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while work is underway.
