Members of the Superstition Mountain Republican and Treasures Hunters Clubs, Paws 4 Life, Star Trek USS Leonidas, Non-Commission Officers Association and Kiwanis Club of Apache Junction got together Sunday, Dec. 8, and picked up trash on Goldfield Road, Southern Road to Lost Dutchman Boulevard.

Nine members, some of whom belong to multiple organizations, perform this task in under an hour, according to a release.

The City of Apache Junction provides bags, vests, collecting tools and gloves for the work to be performed.

"Thank you to all who came out to give a hand and we hope to see more of you in January or February 2020," volunteer Art Fesler-Butts said.

All of the clubs welcome new members with memberships starting at $20 up to $125 per year per person.

"Look us up online --- each group individually --- to learn more. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and happy 2020," Mr. Fesler-Butts said.
