The Apache Junction Community Development Corporation is seeking community volunteers to participate in its sixth annual “Make a Difference Day” on Saturday, Oct. 5.
This annual event encourages residents to get outside and volunteer to make a difference in their community by participating in a variety of projects.
The projects are open to volunteers of all ages and abilities, and include native tree planting, trail cleanup and maintenance, debris/brush removal, neighborhood clean-ups and rock painting for children.
This year’s AJCDC “Make a Difference Day” is 8 a.m.-noon Saturday, Oct. 5. Volunteers are asked to arrive before 7:45 a.m. to sign in and pick up their volunteer T-shirt to ensure a prompt start. The meeting location for volunteers when they arrive is Silly Mountain Park.
Volunteer registration is now open and can be accessed at https://apachejunctioncdc.com/index.php/make-a-difference-day/. Volunteers are asked to register by Oct. 1.
