USDA Farmers to Food Box Program Thursday in Apache Junction

Posted

Apache Junction Unified School District is part of the USDA Farmers to Food Box Program. It provides fresh fruit and vegetables to families each week and is open to the entire community with no paperwork needed.

Distribution takes place at Apache Junction High School, 2525 S. Ironwood Drive in Apache Junction,  from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Thursdays, according to a release.

Participants are asked to pull in at the drive east of the football field on Southern Avenue and follow the drive around the field to the cafeteria, just under the Davis Field sign.

The program will continue until further notice and while supplies last.

USDA is partnering with regional and local distributors, according to the USDA's website.
