US60 bridge work planned near Gold Canyon

Bid results for planned work at Sand Tanks Wash Bridge along U.S. Highway 60 south of Gold Canyon are to be discussed at Friday’s state transportation board meeting.
The meeting begins at 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, in Lake Havasu City at 2360 McCulloch Boulevard North. Members of the public who want to observe or participate in the meeting can either attend in-person or access the meeting by using the WebEx meeting link at aztransportationboard.gov.
Combs Construction Co. Inc. of Glendale was the low bid received Aug. 19 at $1,307,589.15 for work from milepost 208.75 to 208.78 at the Sand Tanks Wash Bridge, an ADOT document states.
The work includes milling concrete deck and overlaying with polyester polymer concrete, removing existing approach slabs and reinstalling new approach slabs, installing new barrier, removing and installing guard rail, constructing concrete scour floor underneath the existing bridge, pavement reconstruction at the bridge approaches, pavement marking, seeding and other related work.
The time allowed for the completion of the work included in the contract will be 105 working days, it states.
