Superstition Sleepover event March 21-22 at Prospector Park in Apache Junction

The Apache Junction Parks and Recreation Department is hosting the 2020 Superstition Sleepover Saturday, March 21 through Sunday, March 22, at Prospector Park, 3015 N. Idaho Road. Set-up starts at noon and activities begin at 3 p.m.

"The weather is warming up, so what better place to be right now than outside enjoying the great outdoors?" a release states.

For $10 a person, campers will get the chance to set up their own campsite on the softball fields and participate in a variety of activities including a camp kickball game, arts and crafts, a scavenger hunt, a hayride to the bonfire where to make s’mores and more.

"The following morning we will rise to a beautiful sunrise and a continental breakfast. You can’t even take the family to a movie these days for $10 a person, and the best part is you don’t even have to leave the city," the release states.

"This is a great event for anyone who likes camping but doesn’t want to go alone or have to rough it in the wilderness. All you need is a tent and a sleeping bag and Parks and Recreation will take care of the rest," according to the release.

"The Superstition Sleepover is a great weekend event for family and friends with a limited budget looking to do something different and exciting."
