Superstition Community Food Bank thanks its volunteers

The board of directors for the Superstition Community Food Bank honored its volunteers at a recent volunteer luncheon.

The Paseo Wedding and Event Venue on State Route 88 donated its beautiful facility for the March 30 event, making it even more special.

Board members did all the work — from getting the food, setting up, having games and prizes for each volunteer to tearing down.

Volunteers were expected to only come and enjoy themselves.

Awards were given to volunteers for the most hours worked over the past two to three years. Every volunteer was to receive a gift card that had been donated by different businesses within our community.

The luncheon was given to the volunteers as a thank you from the Superstition Community Food Bank Board of Directors in honor of their hard work, showing the board’s appreciation.

We, as a board, know that without the volunteers we would not be able to provide what we do for individuals in need in our community.

If you are interested in volunteering, donating food and/or money, please contact the Superstition Community Food Bank at 575 N. Idaho Road Suite No. 701 or call 480-983-2995. If you are in need of food please contact the food bank for information.

Editor’s note: Pat Palermini is secretary of the Superstition Community Food Bank Board of Directors.
