St. Vincent de Paul store in Apache Junction reopens after customer's vehicle crashes into entrance

Posted

St. Vincent de Paul's Apache Junction store, 2540 W. Apache Trail Suite No. 105, was temporarily closed a couple days to fix a door that was hit by a vehicle.

"The incident happened on Oct. 29 around 3 p.m. A customer drove through our front entrance," Joelene Van Buskirk, store manager, said in a release.

"(A)s of noon today our store is up and running normal business hours," she said Oct. 31.

She posted the initial news at 4:06 p.m. Oct. 29 on Facebook @ajsvdp: "We are very sorry for any inconvenience, but our store (for shopping purposes) will be closed until further notice. We'd like to keep all of our customers safe as we had an incident at the store today with our front doors thus damaging the structural integrity of the entrance. Thank you for your patience!"

No employees were affected by the closure, Ms. Van Buskirk said.

"The person who stayed --- that was myself," she said.
