The legislative subcommittee of the Veterans of Foreign War No. Post 7968 Auxiliary is inviting area residents to attend its local officials meet-and-greet event.

“This public event will allow residents of Apache Junction and Gold Canyon to meet their elected Pinal County supervisor, Apache Junction City Council, Apache Junction Unified School District, Superstition Mountain Fire and Medical District and Central Arizona College officials,” according to a release.

The open house is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday. Sept. 15, at VFW Post No. 7968, 250 S. Phelps Drive in Apache Junction.

“Our elected officials will not be speaking individually but will be available for one-on-one questions/answers through the evening. This is a great opportunity to see how our leaders work together for all residents of the area,” the release states.
