Schuett: Ask AJUSD candidates about ‘woke,’ critical race theory issues

Posted

Concerning “Get to know candidates for AJUSD School Board” on the cover of the November 2022 issue of the Apache Junction/Gold Canyon Independent: You need to ask tough, relevant questions like:

  • What do you think about woke?
  • What is your position on critical race theory teaching in public schools?
  • What should public schools teach about gender assignment?
  • Should teachers be allowed to editorialize about politics?
  • How do you feel about parental involvement in education?
  • How does AJUSD best serve its taxpayers?

Get down to it, no more lobbing softball questions. The above questions get to the heart of what the schools do to influence your children while managing spending.
