Republic Services is implementing a 5% increase in trash rates starting on April 1 based on the trash rate increase across the U.S., according to a release posted at the city of Apache Junction’s website.
The annual adjustment occurs every year and is capped at 5% as part of the city’s existing contract with Republic Services to protect city residents from excessive rate hikes, it states.
The approximate increase is $0.63 per household without recycling and $1.11 per household with recycling.
