The Third Annual Pinal County Domestic Violence Awareness 5K Trail Walk and Family Day is 7-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Prospector Park in Apache Junction.
“October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and this is an excellent opportunity to stand in support of survivors and everyone impacted by this issue, while coming together as a community to form new bonds and friendships,” a release states.

Prospector Park is at 3015 N. Idaho Road in Apache Junction. The fun and family friendly event is hosted by A New Leaf in partnership with the Apache Junction Police Department and the Pinal County Attorney’s Office.
