Posted
Local health agencies are partnering with Superstition Community Food Bank to sponsor a pickleball benefit tournament to feed the hungry.
The tournament is 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, April 17, at the tennis center in Gene Autry Park, 4125 E. McKellips Road in Mesa, according to a release.
The tournament, sponsored jointly by Affordable Health Insurance, United Healthcare and Hatfield Medical Group, will be an ages 55-plus doubles event including games, music, awards, snacks and hourly raffles. Participation is open to players aged 55 and over with a donation of five or more canned goods for the food bank. SCFB will have its food truck at the site, along with volunteers to collect the food donations.
