Open burn permits required in Apache Junction

Open burn permits are required within the Superstition Fire & Medical District area as of Nov. 1.

Pinal County Air Quality issues these permits to ensure safe and responsible burning practices, allowing for the disposal of plant material during limited daytime hours, according to a release.

How to get a permit:

  • Apply at www.pinalcountyaz.gov/AirQuality. Permits are processed Monday–Thursday.
  • In-person at the Florence office, 85 N. Florence St., Development Services Building (7 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday–Thursday); and Mammoth office, 118 Catalina St. (8:30 a.m.–4 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, closed 12:30–1 p.m. for lunch with a kiosk available with assistance if needed.
