Meet Your Neighbor: Houston Jax Towe, 9, on TNT’s Animal Kingdom

I am a child actor and will be in the upcoming season 5 of TNT’s Animal Kingdom playing the flashback of Andrew “Pope” Cody played by Shawn Hatosy. It was filmed at Warner Bros Studios and the surrounding Los Angeles area. Season 5 will premiere on July 11 on TNT. We started in January 2020 and were sent home in March due to COVID. We returned mid-October and finished filming the season mid-December. I am the only cast member from Arizona.”

When and why I moved here: I have lived in Arizona my entire life. My dad is an Arizona native and my mom has lived in Arizona for most of her life.
What I like most about living here: It’s not super cold and there is plenty of time for swimming. And, it’s not very far from the mountains and snow in the winter.

What I like most about what I do: It’s fun to act and pretend to be somebody else that is outside of how you really are. Being on set is fun, everybody becomes friends and it’s like a big family. I play a very serious character in Animal Kingdom but I also love comedy and recently auditioned for a couple of shows for Disney and Nickelodeon. I also had a small part in an upcoming local feature film that starred and was directed by Rob Schneider.
Favorite community cause & why: We have donated to homeless shelters and provided them care packages during the holidays. I want to see every family have a home and safe place to live.
My family: Besides my mom and dad, I have two brothers, one sister, two pet cats and two pet rats.
My interests and hobbies: I love swimming, riding my bike, playing video games, and I just started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Carlos Farias Jiu-Jitsu in Mesa.
The trait(s) I admire in others: Kindness and just being kind to others.
People who inspired me (and how): My parents for always supporting me in all that I do. And, I do like Dwayne Johnson, The Rock. I think he is very kind to others and is very anti-bullying.
My guiding philosophy: Is to always be kind and treat each other with kindness and respect, always.
