Identify major terrain features and the essential use of a compass at a Saturday, March 29, land navigation class at Peralta Regional Park in Gold Canyon.
“Participants will be able to properly seek and identify major terrain features through the use of a pace count and the basic operations of a compass,” a release states.
There is no additional cost to attend this event, but standard park entry fees apply for the 10 a.m.-1 p.m. event at the park at 17975 E. Peralta Road — $7 per vehicle for day-use visitors.
