Knights of Columbus Council No. 7243 in Apache Junction recently presented a donation of $2,000 to Angela Davis, director of the Boys and Girls Club Superstition Mountain Branch in Apache Junction.
A check from the proceeds of the Oct. 30 St. George annual car show was presented by Steve Ezyk, fourth degree knight from Knights of Columbus Council No. 7243, according to a release.
Christopher Metcalfe of Christopher Metcalfe Creations, an Apache Junction bicycle shop, was also there.
“Chris graciously donated two children’s bicycles for the Boys and Girls Club. Angela will present these bikes to two deserving children at the club. All in all it was a very successful meeting for Angela, Chris and me,” Ezyk said in the release.
The car show was held at St. George Catholic Church, 300 E. 16th Ave. in Apache Junction.
The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic fraternal organization dedicated to promoting and conducting educational, charitable, religious and social welfare works, rendering mutual aid and assistance to sick and needy members withing the parish and surrounding community.
