The grand opening celebration is 1-5 p.m. Saturday Nov. 2, throughout the new 16-acre park. Guests can enjoy food trucks, live DJ, vendor booths, photo spots, dog events, touch a truck, book mobile and more.

A grand opening celebration for the new Painted Sky Park is to be held in Saturday in Apache Junction.
Located within the 1,400-acre community of Blossom Rock at Superstition Vistas and completed in August, Painted Sky Park, 10109 S. Dutchman Drive, is the first of three public community parks to be built in the development.
While the park is open, the grand opening celebration will provide an opportunity for residents of all ages to enjoy the amenities in addition to family-friendly festivities, games, activities and entertainment, according to a release..

Scheduled event highlights include:
• Yoga in the Park (1 p.m.)
• Zumba in the Park (2 p.m.)
• Cornhole Tournament (2 p.m.)
• Dog Costume Fashion Show (3 p.m.).
Following the festivities, the community is invited to stay for a special Movie in the Park experience beginning at 5:30 p.m. featuring the movie “Coco.”
Painted Sky Park has a 1.5-acre lake with catch-and-release fishing, several shared ramadas, and open lawn space. It also features Miner’s Run — a 3.5-acre adventure playground with several climbing structures, rope swings and a climbing wall. Painted Sky Park continues across Blossom Rock Trail with the Ruff Ranch dog park, which includes three fenced areas for activity, agility and socialization.
It also includes game courts for bocce, cornhole, outdoor chess and ping pong.
Fifteen model homes are available to tour by Brookfield Residential, David Weekley Homes, Lennar, Pulte Homes and Tri Pointe Homes.
