Feb. 3 last day for Christmas tree disposal in Apache Junction

A live or freshly cut Christmas tree is a wonderful way to spruce up the holiday season and it doesn’t have to be a problem to dispose of.

The city of Apache Junction is providing two free drop-off points that will accept trees 24 hours a day from Dec. 27, 2022 to Feb. 3, 2023.

The drop-off sites are:

  • Apache Junction Animal Control, 725 E. Baseline Ave.
  • Prospector Park, 3015 N. Idaho Road.

Residents are asked to remove any tree stand and decorations from the trees before being dropped off. Any questions about this service should be directed to the city’s Public Works department at 480-982-1055.
