Entries sought for Apache Junction Veterans Day parade
Arianna Grainey
In previous years, following a 9:15 a.m. opening ceremony, the annual Veterans Day parade began at 9:30 a.m. at Phelps Drive and headed west on Apache Trail, turning south on Gold Drive, then turned east onto Apache Trail and returned to the starting location of the parade.

Entries are being sought for the annual Apache Junction All American Veterans Parade to be held on Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11.
It is the policy of the Veterans Day Parade Committee not to accept parade or event entries that project a discriminatory image of any group based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, physical or mental disability, the entry form states.
Political groups are permitted; however, candidates for political office may not have a separate entry in the parade, it states.
“Parade entrants are responsible for the conduct of their entry and liable for any injury or accident caused by their entry. Items, such as candy, cannot be thrown into the parade spectators from the parade entrants due to insurance liabilities. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the parade,” the entry form states.
Entry forms at https://www.facebook.com/AJVeteransParade are to be sent to: Veterans Day Parade Committee c/o Jan Snyder, 1853 W. 19th Ave., Apache Junction, AZ 85120.
