COVID-19 cases top 680 in ZIP codes including Apache Junction, Gold Canyon, Queen Valley

The Arizona Department of Health Services on July 23 reported the number of COVID-19 cases in Apache Junction, east Mesa, Gold Canyon and Queen Valley is 686 --- in ZIP codes 85118, 85119 and 85120.

More than 90% of cases were mapped to the address of the patient’s residence. If the patient’s address was unknown the case was mapped to the address of the provider followed by the address of the reporting facility, according to the ADHS.

85118 ZIP code:

  • Cases as of July 23: 95

85119 ZIP code:

  • Cases as of July 23: 204

85120 ZIP code:

  • Cases as of July 23: 387

For most people, the new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks. But for some — especially older adults and people with existing health problems — it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia, and death.
