City of Apache Junction business resource directory launched

Posted

The city of Apache Junction has launched a new webpage geared toward being a one-stop resource for business owners and decision-makers looking for free or low-cost services to help their organization, the Business Resource Directory.

This website at apachejunctionaz.gov/1107/Business-Resource-Directory is for businesses searching for support resources. City staff worked with more than two dozen organizations to ensure that both home-based and brick and mortar businesses in Apache Junction are eligible for their respective services, according to a release.

“We want local businesses to know about all of the organizations in the area that offer game-changing services,” Apache Junction Economic Development Director Patrick Ainsworth said in the release. “Since the list of local organizations is rather extensive, city staff created a filter on the website to allow users to find the resource that is based on their specific need.”

In addition to the filtering system, each organization’s listing features its logo, which is hyperlinked to its respective website, a short description about the organization and “tag words” that highlight each organization’s essential services to help users navigate the page.

“Businesses may not know where to turn if they need help with obtaining a small business loan, getting assistance with writing a business plan or with another business-related matter,” Ainsworth said. “This website changes that. It’s just another service that we want to offer our local business community.”

In addition to the new directory, there have been several new initiatives and services launched by the economic development department since the beginning of 2023 including the property finder map, business concierge service, business suggestion box and an updated community and regional profile.

With all of the projected residential growth in the city of Apache Junction, the economic development department is looking to attract new businesses to serve the new and existing residents with an environment that fosters business growth, the release states.
