Donate blood 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at the annual wellness event at the Apache Junction Multi-generational Center, 1035 N. Idaho Road.

Vitalent is to have its Blood Mobile on site in the parking lot. Donors can make appointments at Bloodhero.com and use the sponsor code AJMGC or call 480-474-5240 to schedule an appointment at the multi-generational center, according to a release.

Donors will receive a voucher for a ticket to a Phonenix Symphony concert.

Donors are asked to bring personal identification with picture and full name, list of all countries visted in the past 12 months, and wear a top with loose-fitting sleeves.

Walk-ins will be limited; to ensure a spot, make an appointment. For more information and blood donor qualifications, go to vitalant.org.

For more information about the wellness event, call the Apache Junction Parks and Recreation Department at 480-474-5240 or go to ajcity.net/wellness.
