Beveridge: Empowerment Systems reopening office Sept. 28

Posted

We are excited to announce that on Monday, Sept. 28, Empowerment Systems will be reopening our office doors.

Since closing in March, we switched to a remote work format. Although we continued to provide services remotely, our facility was closed to the public, leaving us unable to provide walk-in services.

Starting Monday, Sept. 28, walk-in services previously provided will be available. Appointments for AHCCCS, SNAP and TANF can be made and completed in-person, and our free Internet for employment services/follow-up will be available, as well as various homelessness reduction efforts including help obtaining IDs, hydration and food.

Our college interns are also returning on a limited basis and have resumed providing health and wellness education at various locations and via Zoom.

Our Resource Center hours remain 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday and we close for lunch between the hours of noon and 1 p.m. We will be following safety procedures including mask requirements for employees and clients, temperature checks, hand sanitizer, social distancing and limiting how many clients can be in the office at one time. Please see the attached flyer for detailed information.

We look forward to continuing to provide these vital services in person.

Editor’s note: Deke Beveridge is CEO at Empowerment Systems Inc., 2066 W. Apache Trail No. 116 in Apache Junction. The website is empowermentsystems.org.
