A conditional use permit allowing Barleen Family LLC to temporarily operate an outdoor concert venue with lawn seating and drive-up parking will be discussed Tuesday by the Apache Junction Planning and Zoning Commission.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. Sept. 22 in the City Council Chambers, 300 E. Superstition Blvd.
Barleen Family LLC, represented by Jeff Barleen, is seeking the permit for the business at 2275 E. Old West Highway in Apache Junction for a temporary period, during the COVID 19 pandemic.
Barleens patrons will be served meals in to-go containers prior to the concerts. They are also looking into the possibility of incorporating a limited range FM signal to allow people to listen to the concerts on their car radios. The building will be open for people needing to use the restrooms, according to city documents.
