Barbara Ann Brook (Shipton)
Posted
Barbara Ann Brook (Shipton) went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 05, 2023.
Barbara was born to Leonard and Thelma Shipton in Berlin, WI on May 5th, 1942. Her loving and dedicated husband, Robert John Brook, preceded her in death on December 7th, 2021. We are certain there is much rejoicing in their reunion!
She is survived by three daughters, Kelly, Janell, and Jeanna, two sons-in-law, seven grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and more friends and extended family than we can count!
She will be remembered for her great love for Jesus and for her brilliant and never-ending joy. She worked tirelessly to spread the love of Jesus by volunteering for many church ministries and spreading the love of Christ to those around her. She had a bright smile and a quick laugh. (There are times from our childhood we remember her a wee bit differently, but I am certain we deserved it!!) She was the first to volunteer if anyone needed help. As the wife of a retired Army Sargent, she fiercely loved her country and those who served it. Think of Mom when you see a veteran, a flag flying in the breeze, or wildflowers, and of course bumblebees! Think of Barbara when you share a smile with a stranger. These are just a few of her legacies.
As Mom requested, there will not be a memorial or service. If you would like, please make a donation in her name to one of the following organizations:
