Artist Liz Nicklus one of the winners in international art contest

Apache Junction artist Liz Nicklus has been selected by Artists Magazine as one of the winners in its annual Best of the Best international art contest.

Her mixed media piece, “Man of Letters,” was awarded an honorable mention in the “Abstract/Experimental” category and was one of 65 artists selected from thousands of entries in this annual competition, according to a release.

Ms. Nicklus has lived in Apache Junction since 2012. She is a member of the Gilbert Visual Arts League and the Take Five artist group, and serves on the Apache Junction Public Arts Commission.

Her work can be found internationally in public and private collections.
