Apache Junction showcasing local artists at City Hall, library

All artists interested in displaying their masterpieces at the city of Apache Junction offices this winter can submit pieces on Feb. 10.

Those who have had submissions up since November can pick up their art on Feb. 10 as well, according to a release.

In November, the city brought back the program of showcasing local artists at City Hall and the Apache Junction Public Library.

The art is being displayed in public areas of the city hall complex, 300 E. Superstition Blvd., and the library, 1177 N. Idaho Road, during the winter months.

Submissions will be accepted 9-11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 10, on the second floor of the administration building at City Hall. Artists can pick up their art during the same period on Feb. 10.

Artwork is accepted on a first-come, first-served, content neutral, basis. All artwork must weigh 25 pounds or less and have a wire attached to the back in order to accommodate our art-hanging fixtures.

All artists must sign a release and indemnification agreement in order to participate. Artists who contributed art will be asked to pick up their pieces after the display period, the release states.
