Apache Junction holiday program, light parade Saturday

Posted

The Apache Junction Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting the city’s annual holiday program and light parade 3-11 p.m. Dec. 4 at Flatiron Community Park, 100 N. Apache Trail.

There will be lots of activities throughout the day for the whole family, including “Let it snow” — a one-of-a-kind free event for the whole family, according to a release.

“We have something for everyone — 30 tons of snow, Santa, bounce house, an obstacle course and more. Local entertainment will be provided,” it states.

Individuals, businesses, non-profit agencies and groups are welcome to enter their floats in the 24th annual holiday light parade. Pre-registration is required and the registration deadline is Nov. 20. The parade starts at 7 p.m. and the route will be on Apache Trail between Phelps Drive and Thunderbird Drive.
