The Arizona Early Day Gas Engine and Tractor Association’s annual tractor show is March 8 in Apache Junction.
It is 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. at the Apache Junction Rodeo Grounds, 1590 E. Lost Dutchman Blvd.
Admission is $5 for adults, and kids 12 and under are free.
One of the signature events is the popular Kids Drive, where kids of all ages are supervised in learning how to drive antique tractors, according to a release.
There will be antique tractor displays, a tractor pulling competition, static engine displays, vintage garden tractors, the East Valley Ford Model T Club, and many agricultural historical displays.
Multiple food vendors will be on site, including a homemade ice-cream maker powered by a vintage John Deere engine.
There will also be a vintage-item silent auction that benefits the Arizona Historical Agriculture Association, the club outreach and educational program.
“We are excited to continue our collaboration with the city of Apache Junction for our 32nd annual show,” Tim Brain, club president, said in the release. “We are also very thankful for the Campo Verde High School Future Farmers of America club that is helping us with this show.”
Founded in 1989, AEDGETA members collect, restore and display antique tractors and engines. The club hosts annual shows to educate attendees on the function of these machines and their role in our agricultural history. For more, visit: https://aedgeta.org.
