American Legion Post 27 hosts annual turkey drive

American Legion Post No. 27, 1018 S. Meridian Road in Apache Junction, recently held its annual Thanksgiving turkey drive.

Thanks to the membership of Post No. 27, the post was able to donate more than 2,800 pounds of turkeys to Genesis Project; the Apache Junction Food Bank; Apache Junction Feed the Children; Gold Canyon Food Bank; Community Alliance Against Family Abuse; and the first responders of east Mesa, Apache Junction and Gold Canyon, according to a release.
