Posted
Spending $85,000 to renovate Apache Junction Unified School District’s governing board room and district office and $61,062.42 to upgrade the board room’s sound system will be discussed Tuesday.
The AJUSD Governing Board meets July 13 to discuss and vote on paying for the two items with Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief funds.
The district received $5,111,069.81 from the ESSER fund, which is from the federal Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act signed into law on Dec. 27.
The meeting Tuesday begins at 6 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center, 2525 S. Ironwood Drive.
Renee Jackson, AJUSD’s technology director, is to brief the school board on the board room and sound system update at a work session that begins at 4 p.m. at the same location.
