25-year service award given to Apache Junction Police Lt. Parker

Apache Junction Police Chief Michael Pooley recently announced the anniversary of 25 years of service for Lt. Thomas Parker.
Parker is passionate about the community and he is very well respected, Pooley said at the Feb. 21 meeting of the Apache Junction City Council, according to the meeting’s minutes.
Parker is a veterans advocate, being one himself, and is very involved with the Veterans of Foreign Wars and other entities with and for veterans, Pooley said.
City Manager Bryant Powell also recognized Lt. Parker by stating his attitude is infectious and his public service orientation is stellar. Parker truly wants to do what he can to support others.
Parker started as a police officer in 1998, held the position of corporal August 2006 to 2009, was a sergeant 2009 to 2017 and from 2017 to current he has fulfilled the role of lieutenant. Powell read and presented a plaque and award to Lt. Parker.
