Voyage Pro COVID-19 Grant Program
In order to qualify for these grants, businesses must fill out the grant application located on the Voyage Pro website. Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. Friday, March 12.
The grant recipients will be announced on Monday, March on the Voyage Pro Instagram page (@voyagepro.co) with a personal phone call from Voyage Pro’s owner, Jonny O’Brien.
Tempe-based multimedia company, Voyage Pro, is seeking to help small businesses in the Phoenix metropolitan area in response to the economic devastation caused by the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus.
Voyage Pro is looking to give over $12,000 in grant donations spread over nine companies. The breakdown will work with three companies receiving a promotional video directed by Voyage Pro free of charge with six other runner-up companies receiving discounts on video packages.
CEO of Voyage Pro, Jonny O’Brien, says he wants to pay it forward to companies who still struggling.
“We are working with a lot of small businesses in the Tempe-area and beyond the greater Phoenix area and since so many of them are suffering we wanted to do something to help them out,” Mr. O’Brien said. “We’ve been thinking about this for a while, I came up with the idea back in April. At that point, after we got government assistance on a loan we were thinking of ways that we could assist the community.”
Officials at Voyage Pro say they are looking to use their collective skill-set to help promote local companies.
“Our main goal is to help out these businesses because it is depressing to see all these people losing their livelihoods,” Mr. O’Brien said. “It’s also a way for us to get exposure as well if people are seeing our videos, we made for them not only will it allow those companies to get promotion, but people could also see our work and use us for their projects.”
The only requirement to apply for the grant is proximity to Voyage Pro --- other than that Mr. O’Brien contends he is open to any business as long as it will benefit from the grant program.
“We’re open to anything, so anyone that is in the Arizona Area and owns a small business is welcome to apply. We want to see results come out of this, we want to put in on our website and promote what we do as well,” O’Brien said.
