Goncalves: Voter legislation, elections up to states

Posted 1/20/22

I am so sick and tired of hearing the Democrats claim that there is “voter suppression” in this country! I would like them to publish the names of anyone who has been denied the right to vote if they are a citizen of the U.S. and have proper ID. They talk about the minorities not having ID. What an insult to them!

Now the Democrats are pushing a voting rights package that will federalize our voting system. The Freedom to Vote Act gives felons the right to vote and includes universal mail-in balloting. (Now what could possibly go wrong with that, huh?). These are just two of the unconstitutional parts of the bill.

The American people need to shout loud and clear that we do not want the federal government to control voting laws.

That job belongs to the states.
