Dolores (Dee) Krull of Sun City, AZ, age 87, passed away under hospice care on July 2, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be 10:00 A.M., October 21, at The Church of the Palms, 14808 N. Boswell Blvd., Sun City, AZ. Fellowship and lunch to follow.
Dee was born on September 14, 1935, in Sioux Rapids, IA, to Clifford and Marie (Nelson) Green. She was raised on the family farm and graduated from high school in Rembrandt, IA. Dee received an AA degree from Graceland University (formerly Graceland College) before receiving her teaching degree from University of Northern Iowa (formerly Iowa State Teachers College). Dee taught K-12 Physical Education in the Britt and Newton Iowa schools. She left teaching to join her friend, Harriet Taylor, in successfully farming grain and livestock in the Lynnville, Iowa, community for over 25 years.
She retired in 2003 and relocated to Sun City, AZ. Dee was an avid bowler, and enjoyed gatherings and travel with friends. She joined her church’s choir, local music groups and performed with the chorale group, Arizona Women in Tune. Dee continued to follow professional and collegiate basketball and football. She was a loyal fan of the Arizona Diamondback baseball and Cardinal football teams, and was a dedicated Iowa Hawkeye fan.
Dee was preceded in death by her parents, son David, and brother Stephen. She is survived by brother Ken (Onalee) Green of North Mankato, MN, and sister Rosalyn (Walt) Coward of Asheville, NC, sister-in-law, Connie (Stephen) Green and many nephews and nieces as well as the many friends in her Sun City and Iowa communities.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to your local food shelf. The family would like to thank Winilyn Homes and staff, and Omegalife Hospice of Arizona for their wonderful care.
