The Deer Valley Unified School District at its Tuesday night governing board meeting is expected to approve an agreement use with State Farm Stadium for the 2023 graduation ceremonies.

The rental dates are for Wednesday, May 17 and Thursday, May 18, at the Glendale stadium located at 1 Cardinals Drive. The high schools celebrating graduation at the venue will be Barry Goldwater, Boulder Creek, Deer Valley, Mountain Ridge and Sandra Day O’Connor.

The district reports that the stadium rental fee amount is $55,000 ($11,000 per school). An additional $40,000 deposit is necessary for estimated audio/visual expenses, and any potential vandalism.
