Plans are moving along for a multifamily apartment complex near Dynamite Boulevard and Insterstate 17, according to a local homebuilder.
The complex, called Ascend at Dynamite, will feature a swimming pool, fire pit, ramada and a barbecue and picnic area for its residents. The complex will have 260 total units on an 11-acre parcel.
The complex is being built by DHI Communities of the Arlington, Texas-based D.R. Horton Group.
On March 26, the site received preliminary approval from the city of Phoenix.
“It’s a great position to be in,” said Steve Noblet, team lead of the planning and development department for the city.
According to the site plan, a main entrance is planned from the frontage road near the Dynamite Boulevard alignment and a secondary entrance along Oberlin Way, which is a private drive, along the south side of the site.
The construction start date has not been formally announced.
