Outlets at Anthem invites shoppers from all over the Valley to give, shop and win at its 18th annual Shopping Extravaganza retail philanthropy event.

The VIP event will be held Saturday, Oct. 1, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets cost $15 and are on sale now at participating charities, Customer Service at the Outlets or online.

The limited-admission, one-day only event gives shoppers exclusive discounts at the Outlets’ popular brands, along with a $5 lunch coupon, entertainment and the opportunity to win more than $20,000 in gift cards and prizes.

“Not only do participants have a fantastic time, they are helping worthy causes close to their hearts. With the current challenges, charities need more help than ever and we’re thrilled we can still provide this fundraising opportunity,” said JoAnn Truax, director of real estate operations and marketing for Outlets at Anthem.

100% of proceeds from each ticket sold is donated to one of the nine participating non-profit organizations in the Valley.  This year’s participating charities include: Almost There Rescue; Daisy Mountain Firefighters Charities; Girl Scout Troop 2595; Homes for Heroes; Jobs for Arizona’s Graduates (JAG); Musical Theatre of Anthem;  Southwest Kids Cancer Foundation; Stepping Stones of Hope and Youth for Troops.

Steve Craig, president of Craig Realty Group, owner of Outlets at Anthem, introduced Shopping Extravaganza in 2004 to contribute to the community and support local charities.

Since its inception, it has become a go-to charity shopping tradition for people throughout the Valley and a great way to kick off the holiday shopping season.
