Anthem officials send reminder about temporary signs

Posted

With Election Day behind us, the Anthem Community Council thanks all candidates in advance for the removal of their signs by November 23.

"This is a good time to remind everybody advertising signs are not permitted in the medians, right-of-way (or) on Anthem-owned property," a statement said. "We want Anthem streets looking good and traffic moving smoothly."

The Anthem Community Council  is all in favor of an active and prosperous business climate while maintaining the community’s high standards. Advertising signs can obstruct vision, distract motorists, bicyclists or pedestrians from their ability to see traffic signals, road hazards and others using the road.

(The Anthem council) has rules for display advertising signage similar to the city of Phoenix and Maricopa County.
