RCSC wants volunteers for committees

How restricted?

What are the restrictions? The rules surrounding some of these volunteer jobs make it extremely difficult for those of us who are not full-time. Please clarify. — Terry Watts

Here’s the list

Committee members are not required to be full-time residents. Per Article VI of the corporate bylaws, committee members may be suspended or expelled by a majority vote of the Board of Directors for the following reasons: (a) Failure to adhere to RCSC’s articles, bylaws, board policies or any rules and regulations of the corporation; (b) for any good sufficient cause which is contrary to the highest moral or sportsman-like principles; (c) for being unwilling or incapable of satisfactorily performing the responsibilities of a committee member; or (d) failure to attend three consecutive committee meetings. — Sun City, Arizona

I’m definitely 55-plus but live in the Arrowhead Lakes section of Glendale. — Patty Barton

Membership required

You must be a Recreation Centers of Sun City member to volunteer for RCSC committees. Home ownership and residency in Sun City are key requirements to becoming a member. — Sun City, Arizona

What’s its function?

What does the club organization (committee) do? — Beth Eppley

Varied responsibilities

Each RCSC area of interest has a committee that reviews rules and policies, and brings suggestions for changes to the Board of Directors. The Club Organization Committee is looking for volunteer members to be a liaison between all RCSC clubs and the Board of Directors in order to streamline that process. — Sun City, Arizona
