Love to hear and see the planes from Luke Air Force Base flying overhead.
I stop everything to try to get a glimpse of them. I also mute the TV when inside at night to be able to hear them better. They are awesome and initiate a patriotic feeling for me, and I consider them to be an asset to Sun City.
Understanding that not everyone has the same response, perhaps those people should be happy and find a location that doesn’t include the planes and trains going by. The Phoenix area has lots of retirement communities that can accommodate a “silent area.” But please do not attempt to restrict those pleasures for the rest of us who enjoy them. Those sounds make me feel very much alive and I am thrilled to hear them.
